Late Bus Routes & Permission Form

FREE TUTORING & LATE BUS SERVICE

Every Tuesday we offer math tutoring in C-121 and English tutoring in B111 after school until 5pm. There are two buses that can take our students home at 5pm after tutoring. Parents who are interested in having their student ride the bus after tutoring should ask their child to bring home the late bus permission form explaining the routes and drop-off locations. Students will not be getting off at their normal bus stop. It will be our students' responsibility to know what stop they get off and how to get home from that stop. Parents/Guardians must fill out the permission form and select what color bus route their student has permission to take. Please note that no student will be permitted to ride the bus unless a signed permission form is on file at our school. Parents are encouraged to keep a copy of this form for their records.

In addition, we will have tutoring for all subject areas each Wednesday with our NHS student volunteers in room C-121. Students should bring something they need to work on.

The School Improvement Plan (SIP) is a strategic roadmap designed to enhance student achievement and overall school effectiveness at Charlotte High. Developed collaboratively by stakeholders including administrators, teachers, staff, parents, and students, the SIP outlines specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals focused on key areas such as academic performance, student support services, and school culture. This plan serves as a working document, guiding the school's efforts to provide a high-quality learning environment and ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed.

CHS STUDENT ID CARDS

Once students are issued IDs in the fall, they are expected to wear their ID over their neck and it must be visible at all times. Students will be required to show their ID when entering the school building and when they enter and exit the school bus. Students who do not have their ID will be issued a temporary badge. Those who repeatedly do not bring their ID to school may face disciplinary action. An additional ID will be issued on picture day.

If an ID is lost or needs repair, students should stop by the Dean's Office to get their ID or lanyard repaired or replaced. Students needing additional IDs, sleeves, or lanyards will pay $3 for an ID and $2 for a lanyard. Replacement sleeves are free.

PARENT PICK UP AND DROP OFF

The main parent drop off/pick up area is just off Henry Street behind the Deep Creek Church. There are signs on Cooper Street directing you to this area. Students dropped off here enter the school on the gymnasium side of campus. The secondary area is at CPAC. For safety reasons, the visitor parking lot off Cooper Street is NOT a designated drop off or pick up area.
