Mr. Duffy is a committed professional who is honored to serve as the principal of Charlotte County's "First and Finest" High School.
Barney Duffy is currently in his seventh year as principal of Charlotte High School. He has served as a Charlotte County Public School administrator for the past 28 years. He has served at Punta Gorda Middle School, Port Charlotte High School, Charlotte Harbor School and Charlotte High School. Mr. Duffy graduated from Seton Hall with a BA in English and Social Studies and an MA in Administration and Supervision. He also completed work in the ABD-Phd Interdisciplinary Studies program at the University of South Florida.
Mr. Duffy and his wife of 28 years, Tricia, have three children. Casey, Ryan, and Sean are all graduates of Charlotte High School.
Mr. Duffy is an avid reader and has wide ranging musical tastes. He is a sports fan and, when time permits, he takes to the golf course.
