Pathways
At Charlotte High School, students can architect their future through three premier academic pathways designed for college readiness and beyond. The AICE Diploma, an international curriculum from Cambridge University, allows students to earn college credit and qualify for the 100% Florida Bright Futures scholarship by mastering seven rigorous exams. For those seeking a research-heavy edge, the AP Capstone program empowers students to dive deep into independent inquiry, fostering the critical thinking skills highly prized by elite universities and also allows students to qualify for the 100% Florida Bright Futures scholarship. Alternatively, the Dual Enrollment pathway offers a direct bridge to higher education, enabling students to take courses through Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) or Charlotte Technical College (CTC), with the option of graduating with an Associate’s degree alongside their high school diploma.
Complementing these academic tracks are the school’s specialized Magnet Programs, which blend high-level theory with hands-on technical training:
-
Aerospace Academy: A flagship program featuring a state-of-the-art on-campus hangar where students prepare for high-demand careers in the aviation field.
-
Applied Robotics: This program immerses students in engineering principles and automation, providing the technical foundation needed for modern manufacturing and robotics engineering.
-
Veterinary Assisting: A dedicated track for aspiring animal care professionals, offering practical experience and the opportunity to earn industry certifications in veterinary science.
